Lead the formulation and implementation of advanced technical solutions for priority IDC projects, focusing on AI, Machine Learning, and robust Data Science techniques.
Represent the IDC Data Science team in influential technical discussions with cross-functional partners, including leadership within Infrastructure and other Meta divisions.
Drive innovation by acting as a thought leader, particularly in applying Data Science and Engineering to address the unique challenges of operating at a hyperscale Data Center.
Communicate intricate technical work through clear narratives, highlighting the business impact of Data Science initiatives for both technical and executive stakeholders.
Adapt the team’s technical roadmap based on the latest AI developments, ensuring IDC leads in AI-enabled infrastructure and the productivity of our researchers' outputs.
Mentor and guide other Data Scientists and Engineers, elevating the overall technical standards within the organization.
Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to oversee the lifecycle of Data Science solutions, from ideation to deployment and large-scale measurement.
Minimum Qualifications: Over 10 years of experience in a Data Science, Applied Science, or Analytical Engineering role, successfully leading large-scale technical programs.
Strong technical background in Data Science, Machine Learning, and statistical methods, validated by industry experience or advanced education.
Extensive experience within Data Center, Infrastructure, Cloud, or similar hyperscaler environments, demonstrating deep domain knowledge.
Proven capacity to articulate technical concepts and their business implications to a diverse audience, including technical and executive members.
Experience in developing technical strategies and thought leadership in rapidly changing environments, particularly in response to new AI landscapes.
Proficiency in programming and querying languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL) with experience working on large-scale data systems.
B.S. or M.S. in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or equivalent.
Prior experience in a Staff or Principal level individual contributor role, serving as the foremost technical expert within a large organization.
Expertise in capacity planning, reliability engineering, energy management, or supply chain optimization in an Infrastructure or Data Center context.
Experience representing a technical organization at industry conferences, working groups, or through publications.
Compensation: $253,000/year to $314,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits Industry:
