Software Defined Radio Development Engineer
who brings in-depth knowledge in RF systems, military communications, and Software-Defined Radios (SDR). In this exciting role, you will
design, develop, and optimize embedded software solutions
that play a pivotal role in secure communications and electronic warfare capabilities. Your contributions will merge
embedded cybersecurity, signal processing, and RF communications . You will work closely with RF, hardware, and systems engineers to direct system architecture while delivering impactful outcomes for our government clients. What You'll Do Design, implement, and optimize embedded software
for sophisticated RF and communications systems, with a focus on SDR-based platforms. Lead the creation and integration of signal processing algorithms, communication waveforms, and security features
to ensure high performance and mission readiness. Collaborate across disciplines
(RF, hardware, systems, integration, and testing) to define software requirements and support resilient system architectures for critical applications. Drive hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) testing, mission simulations, and field validations , tackling complex system-level challenges to enhance overall system efficiency. Provide technical leadership within project teams , engaging in design reviews, mentoring junior engineers, and facilitating technical discussions with clients. Required Qualifications U.S. citizen with an active DoD TS Clearance . Bachelor's degree
in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 7+ years of relevant experience
in embedded software development for RF, communication, or signal-processing systems. Strong expertise in developing software in
Linux-based embedded environments . Solid understanding of communication systems, RF, and SDR frameworks , including GNU Radio, REDHAWK, or comparable technologies. Experience in modeling and simulating radio equipment , optimizing performance through rigorous analysis. Fundamental knowledge of digital signal processing concepts , including modulation, error correction, adaptive techniques, and waveform optimization. Proven experience in Agile/DevOps settings , utilizing tools like Git, Jira, and CI/CD pipelines. Work Environment Hybrid role with on-site work required in Huntsville, AL Flexible 9/80 work schedule (every other Friday off).
