The Work The Business Intelligence (BI) Developer is vital in designing, developing, and maintaining data-driven solutions and analytics platforms. This role empowers decision-makers by delivering actionable insights through the creation and optimization of data models, reports, and dashboards. Utilizing tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik, the developer ensures data accuracy, accessibility, and integrity. Responsibilities Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders to understand reporting and data visualization needs. Interpret complex datasets to provide insights that support decision-making. Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik. Create scalable, user-friendly reporting solutions tailored to various business units. Design and implement efficient data models for analytical and operational workloads. Optimize data models for improved performance in querying and reporting. Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for centralized data systems. Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and consistency of data pipelines. Utilize coding languages such as SQL, DAX, and Python to develop and maintain BI solutions. Stay abreast of BI technologies and recommend enhancements. Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues related to BI systems, reports, and dashboards. Enhance reporting processes for speed, performance, and scalability. Respond promptly to business requests and resolve technical issues related to reports or dashboards. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Here's What You Need 8 years of experience with reporting or data analysis tools like Tableau, PowerBI, SQL, Cognos, Business Objects, QlikView, or similar. Ability to pass a background check, with additional checks as necessary for projects or clients. Minimum Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities. Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Proficient in analyzing and interpreting raw data. Experience in requirements gathering and documentation. Understanding of business process improvement and system design. Effective and urgent response to customer needs. Proficiency in Microsoft and Adobe toolsets, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Acrobat. Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Aptitude for building and maintaining relationships. Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively. Preferred Qualifications: 4 years of experience with large-scale data sets in platforms like Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Snowflake, or similar. 2 years of experience with Informatica ETL tools. 2 years of experience creating dashboards and reports in Tableau. 2 years of experience creating dashboards and reports in PowerBI.
