POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Les Jardins Vaudreuil residence is pleased to welcome independent and semi-independent residents and offers them access to a range of services as needed. Located in a Vaudreuil area renowned for its many green spaces, such as Valois Park, and close to all amenities, Les Jardins Vaudreuil residence offers all the advantages of suburban living. We are currently seeking an empathetic and caring Resident Care Attendant. The Resident Care Attendant ensures the comfort, well-being, safety, and general needs of residents by providing hygiene and comfort care. This is a permanent part-time position, 16 hours per week, evenings from 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., and one weekend out of two. Evening shift premium applies.

ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Adhere to standards and regulations in accordance with private seniors' home certification and employer policies
• Assist and/or accompany residents in getting around
• Contribute to the adjustment of a residents' action plan based on their observations
• In collaboration with the different teams, carry out health and hygienic care to the residents while maintaining their dignity and integrity .
• Proactively assist and support the residents
• Respond to all emergency situations
• While interacting with them, report any noticeable changes in a residents mental or physical health to the on-call nurse.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• A minimum of 1 to 2 years experience
• Up to date CPR / AED training certificates
• PDSB training
• Hold skill 6, mandatory
• Good team player
• Good sense of interpersonal communication
• Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset
