Your Role: CNC Machinist

As a CNC Machinist, you will play a vital role in our operations by setting up and operating both computer numerically controlled and manual machines. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Read and interpret process sheets, blueprints, and sketches to determine machining requirements.
  • Download programs from a DNC storage system and interpret work instructions.
  • Select and install the appropriate tooling for various operations.
  • Calculate feeds and speeds for different materials, including steel, copper, and aluminum.
  • Perform quality inspections and adhere to applicable quality systems.
  • Engage in Lean Manufacturing principles to enhance productivity.
  • Visually inspect final components and ensure proper boxing for shipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace while supporting best practices for safety and quality.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement activities and foster a team-focused environment.
What We’re Looking For:

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and a time-served background in machining.
  • Relevant health and safety awareness, with experience in the oil and gas industry preferred.
  • Familiarity with machine control systems such as Fanuc, Mazak, Heidenhain, and Haas.
  • Experience with precision inspection equipment, including micrometers and calipers.
  • A proven ability to maintain tight machining tolerances of less than .0025mm.
  • A self-motivated attitude with strong facilitation skills in a team setting.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused mindset.
Qualifications:
  • HNC Engineering preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a lean-manufacturing environment.
Working Conditions:

This role requires the ability to work rotating Day/Back/Night shifts. We value a safe and inclusive workplace where every employee can thrive.
