Join our bustling warehouse as a Receiving Clerk in San Francisco, California. In this critical role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our receiving process. Your responsibilities will include unloading deliveries, verifying shipment contents against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and accurately entering receiving data into our inventory system. This position is vital for maintaining the integrity of our inventory and ensuring that all received items are accounted for and processed promptly. A keen eye for detail and a methodical approach are essential. You will work closely with suppliers, drivers, and internal logistics teams to resolve any discrepancies and ensure a smooth flow of materials into the warehouse. Maintaining a safe and organized receiving area is also a key part of this role. Proper use of PPE and adherence to all safety protocols are paramount to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment. We are looking for individuals who are committed to accuracy and possess strong organizational skills. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect all incoming products for damage and report any issues.
- Accurately record received inventory data into the warehouse management system.
- Communicate with vendors and carriers regarding delivery status and discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving dock area.
- Follow all company Safety procedures and utilize appropriate PPE .
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including some moderate Lifting .
- Support the overall logistics flow of the warehouse.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse environment preferred.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and understand shipping documents.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics .
- Commitment to upholding Safety standards and wearing required PPE .
- Physical capability for moderate Lifting and standing for extended periods.
