Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics team in Portland, Oregon. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, which directly impacts operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, conducting regular audits, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to minimize losses and errors. Your expertise will help optimize our warehouse management systems and ensure smooth supply chain operations. We are committed to providing a safe working environment and expect strict adherence to all Safety protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Monitor stock levels and recommend adjustments to ensure adequate supply while minimizing excess.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices within the warehouse logistics system.
  • Track and manage the movement of goods, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded in the inventory management system.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with warehouse operations, purchasing, and sales teams to resolve inventory-related issues.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of inventory to prevent damage or loss.
  • Train warehouse staff on inventory control procedures and the importance of accuracy and Safety.
  • Uphold all company Safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, stock management, or a similar role within a logistics or warehouse environment.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software (e.g., WMS, ERP systems).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to interpret data and generate insightful reports.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with different departments.
  • Physical ability to move around the warehouse and occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Knowledge of warehouse Safety best practices.
