We are hiring a skilled Reach Truck Operator for our Virginia Beach, Virginia facility. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve inventory in our high-rack warehouse. A strong understanding of warehouse operations, Safety protocols, and proficiency in operating specialized equipment are essential for this role. Compliance with all Safety regulations and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck to move, put away, and retrieve palletized inventory at various heights.
- Safely navigate warehouse aisles and operate in narrow spaces.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of the reach truck and report any issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning items and updating systems.
- Load and unload trucks as required.
- Adhere to all Safety procedures and warehouse policies.
- Ensure proper use of PPE at all times.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Contribute to maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse environment.
- Perform other material handling tasks as needed, including some manual Lifting up to 40 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating a reach truck and other forklifts.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse Safety practices and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to work at heights and in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial reasoning.
- Physical ability to perform tasks including occasional Lifting.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
