We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our advanced facility in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the operational efficiency and integrity of our warehouse systems and equipment. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of various warehouse machinery, including conveyor systems, automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS), and other specialized equipment. A strong mechanical aptitude and electrical knowledge are essential. You will work to minimize downtime and ensure that our logistics operations run smoothly and safely. This role requires a proactive approach to preventative maintenance and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of workplace safety. Mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required at all times. This role may involve occasional lifting and maneuvering of equipment and parts.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on warehouse machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to identify root causes.
- Install new equipment and systems as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment status.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Properly use and maintain all required PPE.
- Collaborate with the operations team to address equipment needs and minimize disruption to logistics.
- Assist in training other staff on basic equipment operation and safety.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Respond to urgent repair requests to ensure operational continuity.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Warehouse Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, or similar role. Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic aptitude. Experience with conveyor systems, AS/RS, and other automated warehouse equipment is a significant plus. Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals. Knowledge of safety procedures in an industrial or warehouse environment. Willingness to learn new technologies and equipment. Ability to perform occasional lifting and work in various warehouse conditions. Excellent problem-solving skills. A strong commitment to safety and the mandatory use of PPE is critical.
