Position Overview: We are on the lookout for a Senior Cloud Migration Sales Engineer who possesses a strong passion for technology and excels at building relationships with clients to tackle complex IT challenges. In this essential role, you'll focus on migrating critical workloads from mainframe systems to cloud platforms, leveraging your technical skills and interpersonal abilities to ensure client success. As part of our Sales Engineering team, you will collaborate closely with Account Executives to strengthen and expand client partnerships, actively contributing to revenue growth. In this role, we seek an experienced technical expert with a solid background in enterprise software sales. You will lead software opportunities, facilitating business growth through both independent and joint efforts. Key Responsibilities: Engage prospective clients to identify and address their data integration challenges, particularly in migrating from mainframe to cloud environments.
Demonstrate our software solutions effectively, highlighting their technical benefits and integration capabilities.
Inspire clients by showcasing solutions that deliver substantial value, driven by your enthusiasm for advanced database and AI technologies.
Conduct compelling proof of concepts that illustrate our technology as an industry leader.
Clearly communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders while establishing trust with technical decision-makers.
Utilize your expertise to identify and assess new business opportunities based on user needs and existing technical environments.
Participate in training and mentoring initiatives for fellow Sales Engineering team members, enhancing overall team performance.
Professionally address challenges and client concerns, providing timely and proficient responses.
Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in relevant sales engineering roles.
Proven success in presales or consulting roles, with a strong foundation in mainframe or IBMi systems.
Experience with large-scale enterprise data migration projects.
Comprehensive understanding of data integration, particularly between mainframe databases (e.g., IBM Db2, IMS, VSAM) and cloud-native databases (e.g., Amazon RDS, Amazon Aurora, Amazon Redshift).
Familiarity with data replication technologies (ETL, CDC) is an advantage.
Experience in supporting or migrating workloads from mainframe environments is beneficial.
Knowledge of data security best practices in both cloud and mainframe settings.
Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent requirement-gathering skills.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to quickly grasp and adapt to new concepts and technologies.
Able to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
Skilled in prioritizing tasks and managing workloads to meet deadlines.
Comfortable thriving in a fast-paced, sometimes unstructured environment.

Compensation and Benefits: The base salary for this role ranges from $136,085.00 to $170,106.00 annually, depending on your skills, experience, and location.
