Position Description We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer III to help drive modern DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and automation practices across enterprise platforms. In this role, you will act as a key technical bridge between software development, security, infrastructure, and operations teams, helping onboard new technologies and streamline the software development lifecycle (SDLC). This position focuses on building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and cloud-native infrastructure to improve system reliability, security, and scalability. You will collaborate with engineers, product owners, and architects to deliver high-quality solutions using Agile methodologies, while also mentoring junior engineers and promoting DevSecOps best practices. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level DevOps professional who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, optimizing cloud environments, and improving release processes through automation.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain DevOps tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation to support continuous integration and continuous delivery. Automate and manage application deployments, infrastructure provisioning, and release management processes to improve reliability and reduce manual effort. Deploy system updates, enhancements, and bug fixes while providing advanced troubleshooting and production support. Develop and maintain software integrations connecting applications with back-end systems and cloud platforms. Partner with security and infrastructure teams to implement DevSecOps practices and ensure compliance with security standards. Create and maintain architecture diagrams, system documentation, and technical design specifications. Collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineering teams to identify infrastructure, automation, and security requirements for projects. Implement monitoring, logging, and performance optimization strategies across environments. Support Agile software development practices, including test-driven development, continuous deployment, and automated testing. Mentor junior engineers and share DevOps, cloud engineering, and automation best practices.
Required Skills/Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. 5-8 years of experience in DevOps engineering, site reliability engineering (SRE), or cloud infrastructure roles. Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and platforms, including Azure DevOps (ADO), Git, GitHub Advanced Security (GHAS), SonarQube, LaunchDarkly, and JFrog. Experience working with cloud platforms and container orchestration, including Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Kubernetes (GKE). Strong understanding of DevOps principles, Agile development methodologies, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Experience implementing DevSecOps and application security practices, including knowledge of OWASP Top 10. Experience with continuous deployment, release management, and test-driven development. Programming or scripting experience in Java, JavaScript, or modern frameworks such as React. Knowledge of cloud-based application integrations and SaaS implementations. Experience troubleshooting complex enterprise IT systems and production environments. Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Codex, or Gemini. Experience working in a mainframe environment (IBM z/OS) is a plus. Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
