Job Description We are seeking an experienced Lead Database Administrator to join our innovative team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for building, managing, and securing Oracle databases and Exadata infrastructure across both Production and Non-Production environments, including VMs in OCI. You'll tackle complex issues, manage capacity constraints, and explore automation opportunities to improve system efficiency. Your key tasks will involve triaging database alerts, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective measures to ensure the highest levels of database performance. Additionally, you will oversee both Non-Production and Production Standby databases and Golden Gate while mentoring your team and ensuring effective communication with leadership, clients, and peers. In this position, you will have the opportunity to establish and standardize policies and best practices aligned with industry standards and compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities Effectively triage and troubleshoot complex database alerts and issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions with an eye toward automation.
Implement and maintain robust database security measures that align with DISA STIGs.
Conduct proactive database capacity forecasting.
Establish best practices across all areas of database management, including architecture, security, and automation procedures.
Stay updated on industry trends and ensure that practices are in line with MAA best practices.
Communicate clearly with peers, leadership, and clients to ensure project alignment and meet requirements effectively.
Consult with development teams regarding optimal data architectures and database functionalities.
Evaluate and implement technological enhancements to improve database systems' availability and performance through automation.
Develop and lead business continuity and disaster recovery plans for database technologies and cloud databases.
Contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at transitioning on-premises databases to Oracle Cloud.
Craft strategies for migrating databases to the Autonomous Database to achieve optimal performance.
Collaborate actively with multiple teams to drive roadmap projects to successful completion.
Disclaimer: Certain customer-facing roles may require compliance with applicable health mandates. The hiring range for this position in the United States is $87,000 to $178,100 per annum, with eligibility for bonuses and equity.
