Position Overview We are actively seeking a talented SAP S/4HANA Solution and Functional Manager to lead our digital transformation efforts in key Technical Operations and Supply Chain processes. In this essential role, you will ensure the integrated and compliant operation of our core business functions, encompassing Production, Delivery, Intercompany transactions, Logistics, and Customer and Patient integration scenarios. The ideal candidate will oversee the design, configuration, integration, and validation of SAP S/4HANA solutions while adhering to global pharmaceutical GxP and regulatory standards. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled SAP professional to significantly improve our operational efficiency and enhance audit preparedness. Key Responsibilities Production-to-Delivery & Core Functional Leadership Take charge of process analysis, design, configuration, and implementation of SAP S/4HANA solutions across the value chain, emphasizing: Order-to-Delivery (SD/LE):
Lead Sales Order processing, intercompany transactions, delivery processing, and billing and invoicing. Logistics Execution (LE):
Manage shipment planning, transportation, and trade compliance. Production Planning (PP):
Integrate Production Orders with material planning and execution. Extended Warehouse Management (EWM):
Supervise inventory and warehouse operations for finished goods and raw materials. Module Configuration:
Develop expertise in configuring SAP S/4HANA modules (SD, LE, PP, EWM) customized for complex pharmaceutical business processes, including batch management, quality inspection, and serialization. Functional Design:
Create comprehensive functional designs, configuration documents, and technical specifications for enhancements and complex business scenarios. Enterprise Integration Management Salesforce Integration:
Establish and maintain compliant, robust integrations between SAP S/4HANA and the Salesforce platform, ensuring accurate data transfer for customer orders and financial reconciliation. CGTO Integration:
Design and implement seamless integrations between SAP S/4HANA and Cell and Gene Therapy Operations systems, ensuring complete traceability and compliant data transfer for patient-specific manufacturing and logistics processes. System Architecture:
Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to ensure solutions align with best practices for data integrity and security. GxP Compliance, Validation & Quality Assurance Validation Leadership:
Guide validation activities, including creating validation protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ) and executing system validation and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all SAP S/4HANA configurations and documentation meet industry standards, including GxP and global data privacy laws. Testing Oversight:
Manage the complete testing lifecycle, oversee Unit Testing (UT) and System Integration Testing (SIT), coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and work with the testing team to resolve defects. Leadership, Management & Support Project Execution:
Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources for S/4HANA implementations and enhancements. Post-Implementation Support:
Provide advanced operational support, including troubleshooting and complex issue resolution. Training & Documentation:
Develop and deliver ongoing, role-specific training and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for end-users on new SAP functionalities to ensure compliance and adoption. Core Competencies Management of SAP S/4HANA solutions across business processes focused on production and delivery. End-to-end expertise in design, configuration, and validation of SAP solutions compliant with GxP. Education and Experience Required Skills and Experience: 8+ years of progressive SAP ERP implementation experience, with at least 5 years focused on SAP S/4HANA. Strong functional knowledge in Supply Chain and Tech Ops SAP modules (SD, LE, PP, EWM); familiarity with FI/CO (AR) is essential. Proven experience in the Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology sectors, with a deep understanding of GxP and validation requirements. Experience designing integrations between SAP and external systems (middleware experience preferred). Ability to lead and inspire teams through complex project implementations. Outstanding analytical and communication skills, with capacity to convey complex technical requirements effectively. Preferred Skills: Experience with Salesforce (or other CRM) integrations for Order-to-Cash processes. Knowledge of Cell and Gene Therapy Operations processes and data requirements. Certification in SAP S/4HANA (Sales/Supply Chain or Manufacturing). Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban). Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) applications or Fiori development. Cloud experience related to SAP hosting or integration (e.g., RISE, AWS, Azure). The base salary for this role ranges from $125,600 to $157,000, as part of a comprehensive rewards package that includes performance-based salary increases, short incentive opportunities, and eligibility for a 401(k) plan, medical, dental, and vision insurance among other benefits. We offer a generous time-off policy, including flexible paid time off, 11 paid holidays, and designated sick leave. Total compensation will be tailored to individual experience and qualifications.
