The Northwell Health Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine seeks a hematopathologist for its central Anatomic Pathology Services practice, specifically within the Hematopathology department, serving Nassau and Suffolk Counties in Long Island and the Queens borough of New York City. The service covers two major tertiary hospitals (North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center), a children’s hospital (Cohen Children’s Medical Center), an outpatient bone marrow service, and hematopathology cases from regional Northwell hospitals, encompassing the interpretation of bone marrow, tissue pathology, heme FNA, flow cytometry, and clinical hematology services.

Eligible candidates must be AP board certified in Anatomic Pathology and/or Clinical Pathology, as well as Hematopathology. They should possess strong diagnostic skills, a keen interest and experience in teaching, preferably with more than three years of post-fellowship experience, and an academic background and/or accomplishments. Strong candidates without experience will be considered as well.

Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity. The base compensation range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
