What are we looking for in a Network Administrator?
This role determines agency software and hardware functional specifications for applications or hardware connected to its telecommunications network. This is an in-person position at the posted location; remote or hybrid work is not available. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S without the need for current or future visa sponsorship; H-1B visa sponsorship is not offered. Network Administrator duties may include:
Provides Add, Moves and Changes for IP telephony environment. Evaluates, configures, installs and maintains corporate network equipment. Coordinates network circuit orders, installations and disconnections. Determines configuration specifications for corporate firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, VPN gateways, routers and switches for agency LAN, WAN and SD-WAN. Monitors and reviews network utilization to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoots network performance issues. Recommends network modifications based on performance and capacity planning. Performs routine installations of hardware, software, software patches and peripherals. Develops technical documentation for current network design and configuration. Provides Tier III technical support. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. Five years of related experience in a healthcare setting and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
