The Software Security Sensors and Effectors Department is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. What You Will Do: As a Principal System Security software engineer, you will play a key role in the software and firmware design, along with the development, integration, and testing of real-time missile software. Implement System Security principles in the design and execution of resilient Radar software applications. Develop software applications using C and C++ on various computing platforms. Understand real-time software design and the performance impacts of specific System Security implementations. Collaborate closely with the Systems Security Engineering team to define and implement requirements. Contribute within a common development environment that fosters program capabilities. Interface with customers to review technical designs and assist in the verification of system robustness. This role is onsite in Tucson, AZ. Qualifications You Must Have: A Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics AND at least 8 years of relevant experience. Proven expertise in C / C++ and VxWorks or a similar operating system. Experience with AMD Xilinx UltraScale+ or Versal MPSoC or equivalent Embedded Processors. Demonstrated Embedded Software Security experience. The capability to obtain an interim secret U.S. security clearance before the start date.
U.S. citizenship is required . Qualifications We Prefer: Experience working with Raytheon UltraStack Hardware / Cryptographic algorithms / ARM architecture is highly valued. Experience in software application qualification and verification. History of designing, implementing, testing, or deploying real-time security-focused solutions on Department of Defense (DoD) projects (embedded experience preferred). Familiarity with security-relevant tools for security audits, network security, host/server security, communication security, or policy management. Experience in Agile and DevSecOps environments is advantageous. Proficient in Agile/Scrum/Kanban frameworks. Experience using software configuration management and bug tracking tools. Knowledge of Python / Perl is a plus. A solid understanding of contemporary computer architecture and related hardware technologies, including PCIe, GPIO, I2C, SATA, FPGAs, and ASICs. The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD, which reflects a good faith estimate based on various factors including the role, responsibilities, experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
