Senior Blockchain Developer – Java

My client is looking for an experienced Blockchain developer to join their growing team in Dublin city centre. You’ll be responsible for designing and delivering backend systems that integrate enterprise Java platforms with blockchain and distributed ledger technologies.

• Design and build scalable backend services using Java and microservices architecture.
  
• Develop and integrate blockchain-enabled components, including distributed ledger interactions and transaction workflows.
  
• Build secure RESTful APIs for system integrations.
  
• Ensure security, data integrity, and consistency across on-chain and off-chain systems.
  
• Contribute to system architecture, performance optimization, and reliability in distributed environments.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile delivery environments.
  
• Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and mentorship to engineering team members.
  

• 
  
• Strong Java (8+) backend development experience.
  
• Spring Boot, microservices, and REST API design.
  
• Understanding of blockchain concepts such as distributed ledgers, consensus, and transaction models.
  
• Experience integrating backend systems with blockchain platforms.
  
• Knowledge of secure coding practices, cryptography basics, and application security.
  
• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases and distributed systems.

• Smart contracts or blockchain frameworks/SDKs.
  
• Cloud-native development, containers, and orchestration tools.
  
• CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated testing.
  
• Event-driven architectures or messaging systems.
  
• Work in high-security or large-scale enterprise platforms.
  
• Technical leadership or solution design experience.
