This is an in-house role, working within a small team of solicitors, practising in Ireland and in Northern Ireland.
The role To provide legal services across a broad range of property transactions including the purchase, disposal, letting and licensing of residential and non-residential properties.
To review and advise on titles to residential and non-residential properties.
To resolve title and mapping issues relating to registered/unregistered titles.
To provide legal advice to the RCB in areas including, but not confined to, property ownership, tenancies and other regulated areas, trusts, charities and litigation.
Required skills Experienced solicitor with an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of conveyancing to include: investigation of title; acquisition and disposal of residential/non-residential properties; dealing with complex titles and rectification of titles prior to disposal; landlord and tenant issues.
Ability to review instructions, identify further particulars required and produce written/oral advices on legal issues and options available.
Excellent drafting and communication skills.
High level of motivation and ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
A calm and measured approach to problem solving with strong interpersonal skills.
Terms and Conditions of Appointment Appointment: This is a permanent full time role subject to standard RCB terms and conditions.
Location: Based in Church of Ireland House, Church Avenue, Rathmines, Dublin 6.

Application If you would like to apply for this position, please send your CV toby 22nd March 2026 For further information about the RCB, please visit JOB DESCRIPTION Position: Solicitor Reporting to: The Senior Solicitor Job Summary To work alongside the Senior Solicitor and other Solicitors to deliver the legal services required by the Representative Church Body (RCB) as the principal trustee for the Church of Ireland in Ireland and Northern Ireland.
The role shall involve undertaking a range of property transactions, alongside handling legal issues and providing advices in areas including, but not confined to, property ownership, tenancies and other regulated areas, trusts, charities and litigation.
Specific Details To undertake transactions relating to RCB properties including, but not limited to: purchases of new properties/sales of properties no longer required by the Church of Ireland; lettings of properties, residential and non-residential; Licences/other occupational Agreements for properties, residential and non-residential; Wayleave and other Easement Agreements; applications for first registration of titles to Tailte ireann ; review and verification of title deeds for RCB properties; and other property transactions/issues involving the RCB.
To prepare or support the preparation of all legal documents relating to any property transaction/issue involving the RCB.
To attend in person/on-line auctions or other meetings convened for the sale or disposal of properties and to liaise with the auctioneer instructed and local parish representatives regarding auctions or meetings.
To attend RCB committees and select vestry meetings relating to legal, property, trust and charity matters.
To provide written/oral advices to RCB committees and select vestry meetings regarding any legal, property, trust, charity or related matter involving the RCB, before, during or following any meeting.
To assist and support in the conduct of any litigation involving the RCB in Courts/tribunals in Ireland or in Northern Ireland.
To assist and support in the drafting, issuing and filing of all pleadings connected with any litigation, to attend hearings on behalf of the RCB and/or to instruct counsel in relation to any proceedings.
To advise or support in advising on trust matters affecting the RCB and, where required, to liaise with the Charities Regulator or the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland.
To assist and support in matters involving the RCB connected to the Constitution of the Church of Ireland or the Churchs General Synod and to attend meetings of the Synod. xcfaprz
To research and present, as well as assisting with researching and presenting, papers on legal and associated issues affecting the RCB.
To review legislation, domestic and EU and to advise in relation to impacts on the RCB.
Any other matters falling within the scope of the job title as may be assigned from time to time.
