Senior Site Manager

Stewart Construction, a top Irish Contractor with over 120 years of excellence in the industry, is currently seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to join our growing and supportive team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of large-scale commercial construction projects, ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with design specifications and programme requirements.

• Take full ownership of site operations and overall project delivery, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the site management team, including Site Engineers, Assistant Site Managers, and subcontractors.
• Monitor and control project progress, proactively addressing risks, delays, or quality issues.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, surveyors, planners, and other stakeholders to resolve technical, contractual, and operational issues.
• Implement and enforce health and safety regulations, carry out safety audits, and promote a positive safety culture across the site.
• Ensure all works comply with building regulations, legal requirements, and company quality standards.
• Oversee the planning and utilisation of resources, including labour, materials, and plant, across multiple trades.
• Drive continuous improvement on site, ensuring high standards of workmanship and project delivery.

• 8+ years’ solid site experience within the construction industry, ideally with experience as a Site Manager or Senior Site Manager for a Main Contractor.
• Proven experience managing medium to large-scale projects in sectors such as Health, Pharma, Commercial, Education, Hotels, or Retail.
• Excellent leadership, organisational, and time management skills.
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management abilities.
• Thorough knowledge of construction methods, building practices, and regulations.
• Experience with internal finishes, M&E, fit-out works, and high-quality finishes is desirable.
• Experience managing multiple subcontractors and large-scale site teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
