We are seeking a dedicated Shipping & Receiving Associate for our Des Moines, Iowa facility. This vital role ensures the efficient and accurate movement of goods into and out of our warehouse. You will be responsible for receiving incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, and stocking inventory. On the shipping side, you will prepare outgoing orders, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and labeling for transit. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Physical demands include frequent **lifting** of items up to 50 lbs, standing, and walking for extended periods. Maintaining a **safe** work environment is paramount; all employees must adhere to strict **safety** protocols and wear appropriate **PPE**, including safety shoes and gloves. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments.
- Verify received goods against invoices and purchase orders.
- Stock received items in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick, pack, and stage outgoing orders accurately.
- Prepare shipping labels and documentation.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently.
- Maintain organized and clean receiving and shipping areas.
- Adhere to all company **safety** policies and use required **PPE**.
- Support overall **logistics** operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs frequently.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Knowledge of **logistics** procedures for shipping and receiving.
