We are hiring experienced Forklift Operators in Colorado Springs, Colorado to join our busy logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within our warehouse. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods to and from storage areas, and assisting with inventory management. A strong commitment to safety is paramount, and all operators must strictly adhere to operational procedures and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires precision and skill in maneuvering heavy loads. You must possess a valid forklift certification and have a proven track record of safe operation. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, electric) to move, stack, and unstack materials.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers in a safe and timely manner.
- Transport raw materials and finished goods to and from designated areas.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring clear pathways.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Proper use of PPE is mandatory at all times.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and logistics operations.
- Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
