Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in San Diego, California. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, ensuring that our warehouse operations run smoothly and efficiently. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing improvements to inventory management processes. Your keen eye for detail and proactive approach will be essential in minimizing stock errors and optimizing stock levels.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy of inventory records.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between system data and physical stock.
  • Identify root causes of inventory inaccuracies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain organized and accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to improve inventory control procedures.
  • Monitor stock levels and report any potential shortages or overages.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of all inventory items.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Participate in ongoing training related to inventory management and safety protocols.
  • Assist with receiving and shipping processes as needed to support overall warehouse operations.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of inventory principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in WMS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 30 pounds regularly.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to all workplace safety guidelines.
