Are you a skilled professional with experience in warehouse maintenance and operations? We are looking for a dedicated Warehouse Technician to join our team in Omaha, Nebraska. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our logistics facility, focusing on equipment maintenance, facility upkeep, and operational support. You will perform preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment, troubleshoot issues, and assist with general facility repairs, all while upholding the highest standards of Safety. We are committed to providing a secure and healthy work environment, emphasizing the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to all Safety protocols. This position may involve moderate to heavy Lifting. If you have a technical aptitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving, this is an excellent opportunity for you. Responsibilities include:
- Performing routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyors, and pallet jacks.
- Conducting regular inspections of the facility to identify and address potential safety hazards or maintenance needs.
- Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical and electrical issues within the warehouse.
- Assisting with the setup and breakdown of warehouse machinery for operational changes.
- Maintaining an inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
- Adhering strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Ensuring the proper use and maintenance of all tools and equipment.
- Mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate for the task.
- Must be able to perform occasional tasks requiring Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools for maintenance and repair.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles is beneficial.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills are required.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
