We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Portland, Oregon. As a Supervisor, you will play a critical role in overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and safety. Your responsibilities will include managing staff, optimizing workflows, maintaining inventory accuracy, and enforcing all safety regulations within our logistics facility. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff.
- Manage receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Ensure adherence to safety policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Train and mentor warehouse associates.
- Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements.
- Manage inventory control and conduct regular audits.
- Optimize space utilization and workflow efficiency.
- Address operational issues and implement solutions.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and supply chain management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with WMS software and other relevant technologies.
- Ability to manage team performance and resolve conflicts.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices for PPE.
- Physical ability to perform lifting tasks up to 40 lbs when necessary.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and be mobile within the warehouse.
This supervisory role demands a comprehensive understanding of logistics and a strong commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards, including ensuring all staff utilize appropriate PPE. The ability to oversee and participate in lifting operations is also important.
