Join our bustling warehouse as a Receiving Clerk in Los Angeles, California. In this critical role, you will be the first point of contact for all incoming goods, ensuring that materials are received, inspected, and processed efficiently and accurately. Your responsibilities will include unloading delivery trucks, verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and accurately entering received items into our inventory system. You will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our supply chain and ensuring that our warehouse is well-stocked and organized. A keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to Safety are paramount. You will be required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times while on the receiving dock. This position involves substantial physical activity, including significant Lifting and the operation of pallet jacks. Be a vital part of our logistics operations and ensure a smooth inflow of products.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from delivery vehicles.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect all incoming materials for damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately record received inventory into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Stage received goods for put-away by other warehouse staff.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Properly utilize all required PPE.
- Perform tasks involving considerable Lifting and manual handling.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in receiving, warehouse operations, or logistics.
- Familiarity with WMS or similar inventory tracking systems.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of Safety regulations for warehouse environments.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting.
