We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our dynamic logistics team in Houston, Texas. As a Picker/Packer, you will be an integral part of our warehouse operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently assembled and prepared for shipment. Your primary responsibility will be to pick items from designated warehouse locations and pack them securely for transit. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with the shipping department to ensure timely dispatch of orders. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace is crucial for efficiency and safety. Adherence to all company policies and procedures, especially those related to safety and material handling, is mandatory. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a warehouse setting and a strong understanding of inventory management principles. This position involves significant physical activity, including frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and standing for extended periods. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order tickets.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order information.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear required PPE.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to inventory immediately.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, including receiving and stocking.
