We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Phoenix, Arizona. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement and storage of goods within our warehouse. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving, unpacking, stocking, and preparing materials for shipment. This role demands physical stamina and attention to detail to ensure accuracy and prevent damage to inventory. You will operate various material handling equipment and adhere to strict safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment. Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Unload materials from trucks and containers using appropriate equipment.
- Sort and stock materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with stock reconciliation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all housekeeping standards.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with loading outgoing shipments.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Familiarity with material handling equipment operation is a plus.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
