Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff, including order pickers, packers, and forklift operators.
- Ensure efficient and accurate processing of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and implement strategies to minimize discrepancies.
- Develop and enforce warehouse safety procedures and protocols, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulations.
- Train new employees on warehouse operations, safety procedures, and the proper use of equipment and PPE.
- Monitor team performance, provide constructive feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless logistics and supply chain operations.
- Oversee tasks that involve heavy lifting and ensure proper lifting techniques are used by the team.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a warehouse supervisory role.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics management.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and experience implementing safety programs.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to perform tasks as needed, including demonstrating proper lifting techniques and understanding the requirements of roles involving significant lifting.
- Commitment to promoting a safety-first culture and ensuring the consistent use of PPE.
