We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our large-scale distribution center in Los Angeles, California. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and optimal levels of our vast inventory. Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive cycle counts and full physical inventories.
- Investigate, analyze, and resolve all inventory discrepancies with a high degree of accuracy.
- Develop, implement, and enforce robust inventory control policies and procedures.
- Monitor and manage inventory turnover, stock rotation, and identify slow-moving or obsolete stock.
- Generate detailed reports on inventory levels, adjustments, shrinkage, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Ensure proper organization, labeling, and storage of all inventory items within the warehouse.
- Collaborate closely with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to streamline inventory processes.
- Proficiently utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, and advanced scanning technologies.
- Champion and enforce all Safety regulations and best practices, ensuring proper use of PPE.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing inventory accuracy and efficiency within logistics.
Qualifications:
Significant experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related logistics role. Advanced proficiency in WMS and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving capabilities. Expertise in inventory auditing techniques and discrepancy resolution. Experience with advanced RF scanning and data capture technologies. Physical ability to navigate a large warehouse environment, including occasional Lifting up to 50 lbs. Deep understanding of supply chain, logistics, and warehouse operations. Must consistently wear and utilize required PPE. Exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to data integrity. Ability to lead projects and mentor junior staff. This role demands a strategic thinker focused on maintaining inventory excellence and promoting Safety within a complex logistics network. Your proactive approach to inventory management is vital.
