We are hiring a dedicated Picker/Packer to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking customer orders, preparing them for shipment, and contributing to the efficient operation of our logistics facility. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into boxes or other shipping containers, ensuring product integrity.
- Verify order accuracy before packing and shipment.
- Label packages correctly for shipping.
- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy through proper picking and scanning procedures.
- Keep work areas clean and organized, adhering to all Safety regulations.
- Operate hand trucks and pallet jacks for moving inventory as needed.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to supervisors promptly.
- Utilize required PPE to ensure personal Safety.
- Contribute to overall team goals and warehouse efficiency in our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is beneficial. Ability to read and interpret pick lists and order details accurately. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift. Must be capable of regular Lifting up to 40 lbs. Familiarity with Safety protocols in a warehouse environment. Ability to work efficiently and meet productivity targets. Must wear appropriate PPE. Basic understanding of inventory management is helpful. Good communication and teamwork skills. This role requires a committed individual focused on accuracy and efficiency within our logistics framework. A strong work ethic and the ability to follow instructions precisely are key. Your role in ensuring correct orders reach our customers is essential.
