We are seeking a dedicated and organized Warehouse Coordinator to join our dynamic logistics team in St. Louis, Missouri. As a Warehouse Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include overseeing daily warehouse activities, coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, managing inventory levels, and supervising a team of warehouse associates. Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule all inbound and outbound shipments, liaising with carriers and internal departments.
- Manage inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and stock takes.
- Supervise and train warehouse staff, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, ensuring all staff are utilizing appropriate PPE.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed, following all safety procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues to minimize disruptions.
- Implement and improve warehouse processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse operations.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations regarding shipping, receiving, and hazardous materials.
- Assist with budgeting and cost control measures for the warehouse department.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in warehouse coordination or a similar logistics role. Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control principles. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to lead and motivate a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Must be able to perform physical tasks including regular Lifting up to 50 lbs. A commitment to Safety is paramount in this role. Familiarity with supply chain operations and transportation management is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexible hours as needed. Experience with RF scanners is beneficial. Demonstrated problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma principles is an advantage. This role demands a proactive approach to managing daily operations and a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of logistics. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and a passion for continuous improvement within a fast-paced environment.
