We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our bustling warehouse in Chicago, Illinois. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials, loading and unloading trucks, and organizing inventory within the warehouse. This role is critical to the smooth operation of our logistics and supply chain. The ideal candidate possesses strong knowledge of forklift operation, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload goods from trucks and trailers.
- Transport products to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Strictly adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of PPE.
- Support overall logistics objectives and team collaboration.
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to perform lifting tasks, up to 70 lbs.
- Good hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Commitment to safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
