Seeking a diligent Shipping Clerk to manage and coordinate all outgoing shipments from our Raleigh, North Carolina facility. This role is key to ensuring that our logistics operations run smoothly and efficiently, from order processing to final delivery. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, verifying order accuracy, and coordinating with carriers. Safety is a top priority, and all team members are expected to adhere to strict safety protocols and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. This position requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role is highly preferred. Responsibilities:
- Process all outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Verify order details against shipping manifests and product.
- Prepare all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs forms.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pick-up and delivery schedules.
- Ensure packages are properly labeled and secured for transit.
- Maintain organized shipping records and files.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and warehouse organization as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in logistics or related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency with shipping software and order management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to perform some lifting (up to 30 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
