We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Los Angeles, California. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is crucial to our supply chain operations and requires a strong commitment to accuracy and speed. You will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, utilizing hand-held scanners and other equipment to locate, pick, and stage orders. Attention to detail is paramount to ensure that the correct items and quantities are picked for each order, minimizing errors and ensuring customer satisfaction. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to meet delivery deadlines and maintain high service standards. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, proactive, and have a good understanding of warehouse operations. Experience with order picking systems is a plus, but comprehensive training will be provided. Emphasis will be placed on maintaining a safe working environment, adhering to all safety protocols, and properly using all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). You will be expected to perform tasks that involve significant lifting and physical exertion throughout your shift. Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures and the ability to follow instructions are essential. This is an excellent opportunity to grow within a leading logistics company.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and select products from warehouse locations according to order tickets.
- Use RF scanners to track inventory and update order status.
- Inspect items for damage before picking and report any discrepancies.
- Stage picked items for packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in regular inventory counts as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily picking targets.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of warehouse logistics and workflow.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, such as pallet jacks, when required.
- Ensure compliance with all PPE requirements at all times.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring consistent lifting and physical stamina.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous warehouse or order picking experience is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic understanding of warehouse safety principles.
