Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics hub in Denver, Colorado. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, contributing directly to the efficiency of our supply chain. You will be responsible for managing inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing control measures to minimize stock loss. This position requires a meticulous approach, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively with warehouse teams. A commitment to safety is essential; you will be required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and may need to perform moderate lifting as part of inventory audits. Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
  • Maintain accurate inventory data within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Analyze inventory turnover and stock levels to ensure optimal quantities.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Ensure proper organization and storage of all inventory items.
  • Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and operations departments to reconcile stock.
  • Monitor for and report damaged, expired, or obsolete inventory.
  • Develop and execute strategies to reduce inventory shrinkage.
  • Train team members on inventory best practices and safety protocols, including PPE usage.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate physical effort, including lifting up to 30 pounds.
  • Solid understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Adherence to safety standards and proper use of PPE.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
