We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Seattle, Washington. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately processing and preparing outgoing shipments, ensuring that all products are correctly identified, packed, and labeled for timely delivery. Your duties will include verifying order details against packing lists, selecting appropriate packaging materials, applying shipping labels, and coordinating with carriers for pickup. You will also maintain shipping records, track shipments, and assist with any shipping-related inquiries. A strong understanding of shipping software and carrier requirements is beneficial. This position requires excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will play a crucial role in our supply chain, ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. Adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is paramount. The ability to perform moderate Lifting is necessary, typically up to 30 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
- Verify product counts and types against order documentation.
- Apply shipping labels and any necessary hazard warnings.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate shipping logs and tracking information.
- Communicate with internal departments and customers regarding shipment status.
- Operate standard shipping equipment, such as pallet jacks and scanners.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Prioritize tasks to meet daily shipping deadlines.
- Contribute to a safe and organized work environment, utilizing appropriate PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or a similar logistics role preferred.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and shipping software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to perform Lifting of up to 30 lbs regularly.
- Commitment to Safety and adherence to all guidelines.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
