Our busy Milwaukee, Wisconsin distribution center is seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of all incoming shipments. You will be responsible for inspecting goods, verifying quantities against purchase orders, and properly documenting all received items. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining an organized and safe receiving area. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damages and discrepancies.
- Verify quantities and product information against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Document all received items accurately in the inventory management system.
- Organize and stock received goods in designated warehouse locations.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues to the Warehouse Manager promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Assist with inventory counts and audits as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, including safety and security guidelines.
- Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse environment preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds consistently.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all logistics procedures.
