Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our innovative team in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of warehouse equipment and facilities, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Your duties will include performing routine inspections, diagnosing and resolving mechanical or electrical issues, and conducting preventative maintenance on various pieces of warehouse machinery, including conveyors, sorters, and automated systems. You will also assist with facility repairs and general upkeep to ensure a safe and efficient working environment. Strict adherence to all safety regulations and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is paramount. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with industrial equipment maintenance, and a solid understanding of warehouse operations and logistics. Certification in relevant technical fields is a significant advantage. Your expertise will be critical in minimizing downtime and ensuring the smooth, reliable operation of our advanced logistics infrastructure. Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyors, and automated systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Ensure all equipment and facilities meet safety standards.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and use required PPE diligently.
  • Assist with facility upkeep and minor repairs.
  • Collaborate with the logistics team to address equipment needs and operational improvements.
  • Stay updated on new technologies and best practices in warehouse equipment maintenance.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
  • Proven experience in maintaining and repairing industrial or warehouse equipment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics systems.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.
