We are hiring an Inventory Control Specialist for our Boston, Massachusetts location. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, managing inventory records, and implementing procedures to minimize stock loss. This position is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that we have precise visibility of our stock levels to meet customer demand efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of inventory management systems. A commitment to Safety and the correct use of PPE is also a must. While this role focuses on data and accuracy, occasional Lifting may be required to verify stock. - Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies between system records and physical stock.
- Implement and monitor inventory control procedures to prevent loss and damage.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Collaborate with receiving and shipping departments to ensure proper stock rotation and placement.
- Ensure a clean and organized inventory storage environment.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with occasional physical verification of stock, which may involve some Lifting.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and MS Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Knowledge of Safety regulations within a warehouse setting and experience with PPE.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
