We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Picker/Packer to join our dynamic warehouse team in Orlando, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking customer orders and preparing them for shipment. This position is crucial to our logistics operations, ensuring our customers receive their items quickly and correctly. Your primary duties will involve reading order sheets, locating items within the warehouse using a forklift or pallet jack, and carefully packing them into appropriate shipping containers. Attention to detail is paramount to minimize errors and ensure customer satisfaction. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols, and participating in inventory counts as needed. This role requires physical stamina and a commitment to productivity. We provide all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure your safety while performing your duties. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with team members is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves according to order tickets.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into boxes or other shipping containers.
- Verify item quantities and product codes against order details.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and scanners.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly those related to safety and logistics.
- Assist with inventory management and stock checks.
- Meet daily picking and packing quotas.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or picking/packing role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including significant Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to workplace Safety.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
