We are hiring a Material Handler for our busy warehouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. As a Material Handler, you will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient flow of materials throughout our facility, supporting our extensive logistics network. Your responsibilities will include receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping goods, ensuring that all tasks are performed accurately and safely. Safety is our highest priority, and you are expected to strictly follow all Safety protocols and wear the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role demands physical stamina, as it involves frequent Lifting of materials, often weighing up to 50 pounds. You will work as part of a dedicated team, utilizing equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks to move inventory. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining an organized workspace are essential. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming inventory.
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders.
- Load and unload trucks and other vehicles.
- Organize and maintain warehouse stock.
- Operate pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment.
- Comply with all Safety regulations and utilize required PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and audits.
- Support the efficient operations of our logistics department.
- Perform regular Lifting of boxes and materials.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety procedures.
- Proficiency in using basic warehouse equipment.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Must be able to wear and use required PPE.
- Understanding of logistics principles is a plus.
