Our growing logistics company in Huntsville, Alabama, is looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to join our dedicated team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to manage inventory and ensure the smooth movement of goods within our warehouse. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials between different areas of the facility, and assisting with inventory management tasks. A strong focus on Safety is mandatory; you must strictly adhere to all Safety regulations and consistently wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires proficiency in operating various types of forklifts and the ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of materials up to 50 pounds. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and a solid understanding of warehouse operations are highly valued. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and organize inventory.
- Load and unload trailers and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Assist with cycle counting and inventory accuracy.
- Perform pre-shift inspections of forklift equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company Safety guidelines and wear mandatory PPE.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Support the overall efficiency of logistics operations.
- Be prepared for frequent Lifting of products and materials.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Demonstrated understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Ability to perform regular Lifting tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Must be able to wear and use required PPE.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and efficiency in logistics.
