Join our bustling distribution center in Detroit, Michigan, as a Picker/Packer! We are looking for energetic individuals to contribute to our efficient order fulfillment process. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking customer orders and preparing them for shipment, ensuring that every item is accounted for and packed with care. Your attention to detail will be critical in maintaining customer satisfaction and minimizing errors. This position is fundamental to our daily logistics operations, ensuring that products reach our customers on time and in perfect condition. Safety is paramount, and all team members are expected to strictly follow our Safety guidelines and wear the designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role involves considerable physical activity, including frequent Lifting of boxes and items, potentially up to 50 pounds. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, utilizing scanning technology and other tools to streamline the picking and packing process. We value efficiency, accuracy, and a positive attitude. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order specifications.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Verify order accuracy before packing and shipment.
- Operate scanning equipment to track inventory movement.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station.
- Adhere to all Safety protocols and wear required PPE.
- Perform frequent Lifting and moving of packages.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Contribute to the timely and accurate fulfillment of orders within our logistics chain.
- Ensure proper handling of goods during the picking and packing process.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform accurate order selection and verification.
- Capable of performing physical tasks, including frequent Lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to wear and use required PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles is a plus.
