We are looking for a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our operations in Omaha, Nebraska. This role is crucial for maintaining the functionality and efficiency of our warehouse equipment and facilities, ensuring the smooth flow of our logistics operations. The Warehouse Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and carrying out repairs on various warehouse machinery, including forklifts, conveyor systems, and automated storage systems. A strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical components, and hydraulic principles is essential. You will also play a key role in ensuring that all equipment meets stringent Safety standards. This position demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to minimizing downtime. We maintain a strict Safety culture, and adherence to all Safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is non-negotiable. While primarily focused on technical duties, this role may involve moderate Lifting and manual dexterity. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Ensure all equipment is functioning safely and efficiently.
- Conduct preventative maintenance checks according to schedule.
- Maintain records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to minimize operational disruptions.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all PPE requirements.
- Assist with equipment installation and setup.
- Support occasional tasks requiring moderate Lifting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in mechanics or electronics preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of industrial equipment, mechanics, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a high level of Safety.
- Must be proficient in the use of all required PPE.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with logistics operations is a plus.
- Good communication skills.
