We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in St. Louis, Missouri. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately processing outgoing shipments, preparing documentation, and coordinating with carriers to ensure timely delivery. This role is critical to our supply chain operations, requiring a keen eye for detail and a commitment to efficiency. You will be working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, handling various types of goods and ensuring they are packaged and labeled correctly for transit. Your responsibilities will include verifying order accuracy, operating shipping software, and maintaining organized shipping areas. A strong understanding of logistics principles and best practices is essential. The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work effectively under pressure will be key to success. We are committed to a safe working environment and expect all employees to adhere to strict safety protocols. This includes the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to all warehouse safety guidelines. You will be expected to perform moderate to heavy Lifting as part of your daily duties. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all outgoing shipments.
- Accurately document all shipping information.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Ensure all packages are correctly labeled and addressed.
- Conduct quality checks on outgoing orders before shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track shipments.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners.
- Handle occasional Lifting of packages up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping or logistics preferred.
- Familiarity with shipping software and procedures.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to perform frequent Lifting.
- Commitment to workplace Safety.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to wear required PPE.
