Our busy New York City, New York logistics hub is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dedicated team. This position requires the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, stack, and organize a high volume of goods within our facility. You will play a critical role in ensuring the timely processing of inbound and outbound shipments, contributing directly to the success of our Logistics network. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of warehouse operations, a commitment to Safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced urban environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklift equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with order picking, packing, and shipping preparation.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace to optimize workflow and Safety.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or safety hazards.
- Manage inventory movement accurately within the warehouse.
- Tasks may require significant manual Lifting.
- Always use mandated PPE for enhanced Safety.
- Support the overall efficiency of our Logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator, preferably in a high-volume environment.
- Valid forklift certification is mandatory.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety best practices.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience with hand trucks and pallet jacks is beneficial.
