We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This crucial role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, contributing directly to the efficiency of our supply chain operations. You will be responsible for maintaining precise inventory records, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to upholding high standards of accuracy. You'll work closely with warehouse associates, supervisors, and management to ensure smooth operations and minimize stockouts or overstock situations. Your role in managing inventory levels directly impacts our ability to meet customer demands and optimize operational costs. - Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS (Warehouse Management System).
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and potential issues.
- Implement and improve inventory control procedures.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of all inventory items.
- Monitor stock rotation and identify obsolete or slow-moving items.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient workflow.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of inventory management techniques.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in inventory control or warehouse operations is a plus.
- Proficiency in WMS software is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
- Comfortable with physical tasks, including regular Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Awareness of and adherence to all safety regulations and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
