Join our dynamic logistics team as a Shipping & Receiving Associate in San Antonio, Texas! In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our warehouse operations. Your responsibilities will include unloading trucks, verifying incoming inventory against purchase orders, properly storing received goods, and preparing outgoing shipments for delivery. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You'll be an integral part of our supply chain, contributing to the smooth flow of products. The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized workspace. Understanding of warehouse procedures and inventory management is a plus. We provide comprehensive training and expect adherence to all company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload and receive incoming freight.
- Inspect goods for damage and verify against shipping documents.
- Accurately record inventory data.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely (if certified).
- Pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including the use of required PPE .
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
This role involves significant lifting , bending, and standing for extended periods. A strong understanding of logistics and warehouse operations is beneficial.
