Business Analyst

Job Title: Senior Business Analyst – Mortgage / Lending

Location: Dublin (2‑3 days onsite per week)

Contract Duration: Initial 6-month contract

Start Date: Immediate

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with a strong background in banking, particularly within mortgage operations and core accounting transformation initiatives.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting large-scale mortgage and finance transformation programmes. This position requires a deep understanding of financial services advisory environments, particularly across mortgage origination platforms and core accounting systems.

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the existing (“As-Is”) environment, including legacy applications, operational processes, system integrations, and data flows.
• Define and document the future (“To-Be”) state, shaping target processes and system functionality aligned to strategic objectives, regulatory obligations, and desired business outcomes.
• Act as a bridge between technical and business teams, clearly translating complex technical concepts into practical, business‑focused language.
• Support data migration activities including reconciliation, validation, testing, and formal sign‑off.
• Conduct detailed risk, impact, and dependency assessments, proactively identifying:
• Operational and business risks, with recommended mitigation strategies
• Customer impacts and proposed controls
• Downstream system and process implications arising from migration decisions
• Ensure identified impacts are understood, documented, agreed with appropriate stakeholders, and tracked through to completion.
• Drive change management and business readiness activities, defining programme‑level objectives and breaking them down into measurable success criteria.
