Deputy General Manager

The Galmont Hotel & Spa, part of the MHL Hotel Collection is recruiting for a Deputy General Manager to assist in the running of the 275‑bedroom hotel. Reporting to and supporting the General Manager, the Deputy General Manager will lead the day‑to‑day operations for all areas of the hotel and motivate and lead all staff.

• Provide strategic support to the General Manager for all hotel operations.
  
• Directly lead the head of departments.
  
• Ensure that all staff are consistently motivated and engaged to deliver excellence in service.
  
• Lead the development and continuous learning of the hotel staff.
  
• Ensure the best level of customer care within the property.
  
• Support the profitability and cost management of the hotel.
  
• Be responsible for the Health and Safety standards of the property.
  
• Ensure that liquor licensing legislation is followed according to Company policy and procedures.
  
• Act as Fire Marshall while on duty and be thoroughly familiar with emergency procedures and alarms.
  
• Assist with budget preparation.
  
• Assist with compiling periodic reports as required by the GM and FC.
  
• Be aware of both environmental concerns and energy conservation throughout your workplace.
  

• 
  
• 3‑4 years experience as Deputy or Operations Manager role in a large hotel.
  
• Standards driven, particularly in Food & Beverage.
  
• People leadership and motivation experience.
  
• Proven ability in developing talented employees.
  
• Strong communicator; comfortable contributing to the overall hotel strategy.
  
• Ability to read and analyze a Profit & Loss report.
  
• Ability to develop and build relationships and influence with all levels of the business.
  
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
